Trex Honored By Industry Leaders

Trex swept Builder magazine’s 2015 Brand Use Study with first place in all four performance areas measured for the composite/PVC decking industry, the first time in recent history that a single manufacturer earned top honors in every subcategory.
Trex was first in:
- Brand Familiarity
- Brand Used Most
- Brand Used in the Past Two Years
- Quality
“Building materials and techniques are ever-changing and the more we can learn about the brands builders prefer, the better we can understand what materials and techniques are important to them,” said Paul Tourbaf, group president, residential construction, for Hanley Wood, sponsors of the study which has been conducted annually for more than 20 years.
Trex also was honored last week with six Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) from the Design Journal, an international resource for interior designers, architects and facility managers. ADEX is one of the largest and most prestigious awards programs that recognizes product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade.

Trex captured three ADEX Platinum Awards for our new Trex Outdoor Lighting™ collection, Trex Aluminum Gates and tropically inspired “Island Mist” shade of Trex Transcend® decking. In addition, Trex Spiral Stairs™, Trex ADA-Compliant handrails, and the new “Havana Gold” shade of Trex Transcend decking were honored with ADEX Gold Awards.
